YOU BROUGHT SPRING BACK INTO MY LIFE - by Marcia Schechinger

YOU BROUGHT SPRING BACK INTO MY LIFE

by   Marcia Schechinger

As the moon caresses your face
once again I realize the magnitude
love has to offer
Your voice like the whispering wind
ever calling
Memories of a touch
here to stay
Your hand in mine
easing daily stresses
Each star seems to be
a hurdle we have overcome
In the rhythm of the grass
blowing quietly as the flowers close
we breathe together
In the magic
of another night
another dream
In the sentiments of recognition
we who were blind
found each other in the darkness
of drunkenness and despair
We had floundered
like fish avoiding the hook
Two streams ever bending
surviving the currents alone
Yet this night we merge
forward to the river
baptizing ourselves under
moons bonding
Taking vows to the heavenly stars
toward eternal bliss
Born on scars of sunlight blisters
healed by the magic of fate
Cloaked from the colder nights
you brought spring back into my life
and for that I am ever yours
