FOR THE LOVE OF MOTHER - by Justine King

FOR  THE  LOVE  OF  MOTHER

by  Justine King

When I was a child,
My mommy could do anything.
Scare away monsters,
Make bubbles in the bath,
Kiss away the hurt from a booboo.

Sometimes she was too busy to play,
But that was ok.
Games weren't really her thing anyway.

When I was a preteen,
My mom could do a lot of things.
Paint my nails,
Braid my hair,
Teach me about makeup.

Sometimes she got frustrated with me,
But that was ok.
I was pretty pokey.

When I was a teenager,
My mother couldn't do anything right!
Bail me out of trouble,
Buy me cool enough clothes,
Let me stay out late.

Sometimes she tried to control me,
And I hated it!
She couldn't mind her own business.

Now that I'm an adult,
I realize that my mother is human.
She paid bills,
Raised children,
And always got supper on the table.

Sometimes she messed up,
But that was ok.
She did her best, and
always, always loved us.

A FRIEND I CAN COUNT ON - by Joanna Fuchs

A  FRIEND I  CAN  COUNT  ON

by   Joanna Fuchs

When troubles come a callin’
As those gremlins often do,
And my spirit keeps on fallin’
Till I feel low down and blue…

When I look around for comfort,
Someone quickly jumps to mind,
One who always will support me,
And whose words are always kind.

Who will make my mood feel lighter,
Who’ll help beat my troubles back,
He/She makes the sun shine brighter
And gets my spirit back on track.

Who helps the road seem straighter,
And helps me get around each bend,
Who makes each day seem greater,
And that someone is you, my friend.

A BEAUTIFUL MEMORY - by Ashley Ann Bellow

 A  BEAUTIFUL   MEMORY

by  Ashley Ann Bellow

As I look around my room
Seeing pictures of a time before,
My mind drifts
Reminding me of the past.
Of a hot day in May,
Dressed in elegant attire,
Dining out and picture taking...
A highlight of High School.

Yet, I was the one you chose
To spend this memory with.
I will always remember that night
And remember how handsome you looked.
With a twinkle in your eye,
You shined up like a movie star,
With a night on the town in a matching sports car.
Yet, you chose me to spend this memory with...

Out of the crowd of girls,
that flock to your side,
You chose me.
I never had a chance to tell you thank you,
Thank you for such a beautiful memory.

YOU'RE MY NUMBER ONE ! - by Rose Bloom

 YOU'RE  MY  NUMBER  ONE !

by Rose  Bloom

I choose you...
In the whole wide world,
from the stars, from the sun, from the earth,
You are my guiding light.
From every being, you are the one i love.
You are my destiny.
My hopes and dreams are all in you.
My heart found its way to you,
And forever i will stay with you,
Giving you my all, my love, my world.
I love you like no one ever will,
You're the reason that makes life worth.
You and i will forever be...
You and i will never part,
I promise you i'll always be the place that you call home.
I'll leave you no regrets, i'll cherish you my dear.

Thank you for loving me like you do.

THANK YOU - by Sylvester Masa Motadi - South Africa

THANK  YOU

by   Sylvester  Masa  Motadi - South Africa

How gentle did your voice lead my way
When my mouth is closed and I have nothing to say
How sweet did your hands wash my eyes
Enabling me to the sunrise

When I think the road of coping is too long
You give me your opinion and prove me wrong
When I say I have no power to move on
You gently say with your voice "Lets carry on"

You take me from the ground to the sky
Where you also give me wings to fly
You clear my way and throw away my fears
Fears which are likely to bring me tears

Yes I care that our love is not a game
And I wish that things remain the same.

THANK YOU - by ckyh

THANK  YOU

by   ckyh

Thank you for your patronage but I want my life back.
Return it to me, if you please and I'll be on my way.
As disappointments ebb away, so must expectations wane.
Perhaps, only then, will the hauntings recede.

I can do the giving - unconditionally
But I don't need your 'kindness'.
All I ask for is a little bit of mercy.
Spare me, spare me, spare me...

I can't see through incessant tears,
Don't want to hide in the darkness and
Upon enlightenment, have what's left of my heart
Grated and pulverised by your heel.

I want to see colours without associations.
I want to paint over your gift of blue.
I want some salvation; stop the self-loathing
But most of all, I wanted to love you.

YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO - by Joanna Fuchs

YOU  DIDN'T  HAVE  TO

by    Joanna Fuchs

Thank you for what you did;
You didn’t have to do it.
I’m glad someone like you
Could help me to get through it.

I’ll always think of you
With a glad and grateful heart;
You are very special;
I knew it from the start!
