HUMAN NATURE - by Pauline Murphy, UK

HUMAN  NATURE

by Pauline Murphy, UK

Human Nature is a beautiful disaster
For it is what we at last all encounter
You seem to remain hidden in your dreams
Can you not open up to me?

I read your eyes, I see your heart
For inside of you is a love that's torn apart
What you once lost, you give to me
Inspiration flows through thee

I understand who you really are
Inside you shine brighter than any star
What has been taken, you may still find
But you my friend, you are one of a kind

We have not met, I know we will
Hearts beat the same, hearts beat still
Closer than ever, this force is strong
Love. It can never be wrong

A FRIEND I CAN COUNT ON - by Joanna Fuchs

A  FRIEND  I  CAN  COUNT  ON

by Joanna Fuchs

When troubles come a callin’
As those gremlins often do,
And my spirit keeps on fallin’
Till I feel low down and blue…

When I look around for comfort,
Someone quickly jumps to mind,
One who always will support me,
And whose words are always kind.

Who will make my mood feel lighter,
Who’ll help beat my troubles back,
He/She makes the sun shine brighter
And gets my spirit back on track.

Who helps the road seem straighter,
And helps me get around each bend,
Who makes each day seem greater,
And that someone is you, my friend.

WILL YOU BE MY FRIEND ? - by James Kavanaugh

WILL  YOU  BE  MY  FRIEND ?

by James Kavanaugh

Will you be my friend ?
There are so many reasons why you never should:
I’m sometimes sullen, often shy, acutely sensitive,
My fear erupts as anger, I find it hard to give,
I talk about myself when I’m afraid
And often spend a day without anything to say.
But I will make you laugh
And love you quite a bit
And hold you when you’re sad.
I cry a little almost every day
Because I’m more caring than the strangers ever know,
And, if at times, I show my tender side
(The soft and warmer part I hide)
I wonder, will you be my friend ?

A friend who far beyond the feebleness of any vow or tie
Will touch the secret place where I am really I,
To know the pain of lips that plead and eyes that weep,
Who will not run away when you find me in the street
Alone and lying mangled by my quota of defeats
But will stop and stay-to tell me of another day
When I was beautiful.
Will you be my friend ?

There are so many reasons why you never should:
Often I’m too serious, seldom predictably the same,
Sometimes cold and distant, probably I’ll always change.
I bluster and brag, seek attention like a child,
I brood and pout, my anger can be wild,
But I will make you laugh and love you quite a bit
And be near you when you’re afraid.

I shake a little almost every day
Because I’m more frightened than the strangers ever know
And if at times I show my trembling side
(The anxious, fearful part I hide)
I wonder, will you be my friend ?

A friend who, when I feel your closeness, feels me push away
And stubbornly will stay to share what’s left on such a day,
Who, when no one knows my name or calls me on the phone,
When there’s no concern for me – what I have or haven’t done-
And those I’ve helped and counted on have oh, so deftly, run,
Who, when there’s nothing left but me, stripped of charm and
Subtlety, will nonetheless remain.

Will you be my friend ?
For no reason that I know, Except I want you so.

A LOVING RECIPE FOR A PERFECT CUP OF TEA - by Anonymous

A  LOVING  RECIPE  FOR  A  PERFECT  CUP  OF  TEA

by   Anonymous

1 Willing friend who loves to sit and share
1 Grateful heart to have a friend that cares
1 Beautiful garden to show us God is near
Many wonderful memories of times shared throughout the years
Lots of smiles and laughter to brighten up our days
Many prayers that we prayed for each other along the way
I’m so blessed to have a friend like you to share in everything I do.
For one special friend sharing a special cup of tea truly makes this a perfect recipe.

TWO FRIENDS - by Eddie Garcia

TWO  FRIENDS

by Eddie  Garcia

She touches his heart like no other,
a love he wants to discover...
a friend to him from the very start,
so much he doesn't want to break her heart...

Feelings are growing every day,
wanting to express and simply say...
whats on his mind and what is real,
for a friend ; whats true he feels...

Happiness shines among st the two,
togetherness lies a glow so true...
feelings so strong for one another,
hoping someday to be his lover...

She brightens the day when she walks by,
he touches her heart like no other guy...
mutual feelings and beating hearts,
friends forever that won't depart...

Looking forward to what lies each day,
in the busy lives of they...
forever happy and always together,
two friends in love with each other...

FOR SOMEONE SPECIAL - by Ginny Bryant

FOR  SOMEONE  SPECIAL

by  Ginny Bryant

Days may come and days may go
They never seem the same
Some are bright and sunny
And some are filled with rain.

Whenever life seems unfair
And time you'd like to stop
That's when you need to think a bit
Be thankful for what you've got.

You are so very fortunate
You have loving family and friends
That lift your spirits when needed
As each new day begins

So when your life seems shadowed
Lift your eyes to Heaven and pray
For help in whatever need you have
Let Him touch your heart today.

This is a special greeting
Full of love and prayers too
Because you are a special friend
And because I do love you.

God Bless You !

FRIENDS FOREVER - by Whispering Angel

FRIENDS  FOREVER

by  Whispering Angel

When we first met you were annoying.
Who knew we would become the bestest of friends.

Talking on the phone. Chatting on the net.
Every minute thanking God that we met.

My heart grew for you. It begged.
It pleaded for your love, not knowing how to tell you.

Two years later we met in person.
My heart leaped for joy.

For the life of me I couldn't remember my name.
I totally forgot how to speak.

I sat there and watched your every move.
My heart melting with every smile.

"Do you believe in love at first sight?" you asked
"I don't believe in love," I lied

When I had to leave my heart fell to the floor.
Why did I have to leave so soon?

So I could return later that year.
To see your smiling face and maybe express what I feel.

The truth is I do believe in love.
I believed in it the moment I saw you.

Now as you read this poem you probably have mixed feelings.

Not only did I write this to say I love you
But to thank you.

I need to thank you for being there through thick and thin.
And I think
that is why you are my best friend.

From my heart to yours I want to say,

Thank you and I love you.

THE MISTAKE YOU CANNOT FORGET - by Ashlie

THE  MISTAKE  YOU  CANNOT  FORGET

by   Ashlie

You say you cannot forget
And you aren't ready to forgive
But I need your friendship
More than you'll even know
I need you there to live

Without you by my side today
Life's been going, oh so slow
I miss your calls
Our endless talks
The places we would go

You can't even bear to look at me,
And I know my mistake
For because of one night,
And a few thoughtless actions,
When you saw me you ran and hid

I know we cannot take it back
As much as we would like to
But we could forget
And start all over
Just friends, that's me and you

If time is what you need,
Then I guess that's what you'll get
But I need you there for me soon,
My friend,
I hope you will forget.

ONE OF A KIND - by Joanna Fuchs

ONE  OF  A  KIND

by  Joanna Fuchs

You are wonderful, one of a kind,
uniquely valuable!
Right now, think of your positive qualities,
and things you can do better
than the average person can.

Always remember:
Your are smarter,
more capable,
and more significant
than you think you are.

COMPATIBLE VALENTINE - by Joanna Fuchs

COMPATIBLE  VALENTINE

by Joanna Fuchs

On Valentine's Day, I think about
 The people who are dear,
How much they add to life's delight
 Whenever they are near.

You've always been a total joy,
Such pleasant company,
I very much appreciate
Our compatibility!

YOU ALWAYS MAKE ME SMILE - by Megan Jeanne Sullivan

YOU ALWAYS MAKE ME SMILE

by Megan Jeanne Sullivan

You make me smile
Like a best friend should
When I have a problem
Or when things don't look so good
Even when I start to cry
You are always there for me
To make those tears come to dry
I realize how lucky I am
to have you in my life
Even when happiness
Seems plainly out of site
The one to lean on when I'm sad
The one to tell secrets to
with whom I could never stay mad
I hope by reading this you have a simple thought
Of everything important that you have once taught
You are my best friend
Not for a week, month, not for a while
But for the rest of my life
You'll always make me smile
