INGREDIENTS:
Butter 225 g
Sugar 125 g
Wheat flour 350 g
Baking powder 1.5 tsp.
Salt 0.5 tsp.
Apricot jam 6 tbsp. l
Powdered sugar 1 tbsp. l
Anglesey is a couple of sweet sandy cakes glued together with a thin layer of jam and sprinkled with powdered sugar.
Step 1:
Pound butter with sugar until cream is formed
Step 2:
Stir in baking powder and salt. Form a tight ball out of dough and transfer to a floured surface.
Step 3:
Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Roll the dough into a 6 mm thick layer.
Step 4:
Cut the mugs with a cookie cutter with a diameter of 5 cm. Cut a small hole in the center of the half of the blanks.
Step 5:
Spread the dough circles on the trays at a short distance from each other.
Bake 10 minutes: the cookies will rise and turn golden.
Step 6:
Transfer to cool on a wire rack.
Step 7:
Then connect the products in pairs, pre-smeared with jam. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
