AUTUMN SYMPHONY
by Nancy Ellen Crossland
The branches of Autumn have spoken.
Brushing now against the windowpane
They speak on the winds
I hear them again;
Rise now from slumber of summer
Awaken, let the leaves encircle you
Embracing your senses
No mellow air to lull you
The time is ripe in jubilant song
Autumn has arrived
Let the celebration begin
Hear now Autumn's gong !
