LITTLE PURPLE FLOWER by Aufie Zophy
I am a little purple flowerMy petals so extremely smallI 've stood in the grass for many an hourEnjoying a breeze most of all
But, oh, what happened to my peers!Just yesterday, it moved me to tearsWhile the children of John were playing their gameMy peers were trampled to death, what a shame
When just before that, some bigger flowers were damagedThe children were scolded badly by JohnBut when my brothers were ravagedIt was noticed, sadly, by none
Today, however, I had a reason to smileA nerd, or so he must beLooked at this little purplish flower, a whileAnd took a picture of me
Even if tomorrow, to the worst of my fearsI have to die, as yesterday my peersI will do so happilysince someone has seen the beauty in me.
