AUTUMN PANTOUM - by Ashley L.

AUTUMN  PANTOUM

by  Ashley L., Castle Rock, CO

The summer slowly fades away,
The air thick with thrill,
See the orange and red trees sway,
Autumn carries the slightest chill,

The air thick with songs of thrill,
Fallen leaves start to decay,
Autumn carries the slightest chill,
The sun’s heat seems to stray.

Fallen leaves start to decay,
Nothing can stay still,
The sun’s heat seems to stray,
Leaves blow up the hill,

Nothing can stay still,
Bare trees at the end of the day,
Leaves blow up the hill,
I wish the season would stay,

Bare trees at the end of the day,
Though fall has had its fill,
I wish the season would stay,
Everything stays still,
Winter is slowly on its way
